Swedesboro Public Library, one of the oldest libraries in the state of New Jersey, was established in 1783. The library was originally housed in the Borough Hall and was incorporated in 1937. Swedesboro Public Library became a branch of Gloucester County Library System in 2005.

Swedesboro Library Addition

In May, the Swedesboro Library Branch will close for construction of the new addition. The Gloucester County Library System will open a temporary satellite branch at the Swedesboro Borough Hall to serve Swedesboro residents during the expansion project.
