4-Way STOP....

At the July 19th Council updated the Traffic and Vehicle Ordinance to create a 4-way STOP at the intersection of Church Street and Second Street.

Covered signs have been installed and will be uncovered.  Also double yellow lines have been painted on both Church Street and Second Street to better control traffic approaching the intersection.  Stops lines and the word STOP have been painted at the intersection.  Larger lettering will be placed on the pavement as well as crosswalks.

WATER RESTRICTIONS IN PLACE
Water Emergency may be Imposed

Borough Ordinance 114-40 REQUIRES ALL residents and business to conserve water by restricting outside watering between April and October using an odd/even schedule.  Outside water usage, which includes the watering of lawns, plants, filling of pools and washing of cars is restricted.

Due to the maintenance on our water tower, Council may need to impose a FULL Water Emergency restricting ALL outside water usage if water conservation efforts are not adequate to maintain a stable and safe water supply.

Details on the possible full restrictions will be posted here and in a letter which will be mailed to all residents and businesses.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.  If you have any questions, please call Public Works at 856-467-1540 (nights and weekends, call 609-929-6250).

Property Re-Assessments Have Begun

All residents have received notification of a town-wide property re-assessment.  The agent conducting the assessment is attempting to get access to home around town.  Please make arrangements for the assessor to access your home.

Inside inspection takes 5-7 minutes and is basically to count rooms, including bedrooms and bathrooms, verify if your basement is unfinished or not and confirm the condition of your home.  The assessor will also spend 10-15 minutes measuring the outside of your house and property.

Failure to provide access to your home and/or property will result in your home being assessed improperly.

Please cooperate and allow the assessor access to your home.
